Battle of Britain Class, No. 34067, "Tangmere" departing from Swanage on 21 June 2012, with the return leg of the "Swanage Belle" steam special. The steam-sanding equipment can be seen in use under the centre driving wheels to improve adhesion on the wet rails; this proved effective and the eleven-coach train was got under way with only one small bout of slipping.
