The NYMR Autumn Gala over the weekend of September 30 thru October 2 saw 8 locomotives at work including 2 Stanier Class 5 4-6-0s on Esk Valley services. The 0-8-0 designs were fortuitously paired, albeit tender first, as G2 0-8-0 No. 49395 led Q6 0-8-0 63395 out of Levisham on October 2 with the 16:25 Pickering - Grosmont service.
