Very frustrating ! I like this location on the approach to Radcliffe on Trent station and I missed No. 60011 at this spot in full sun on Friday 5th August 2011 having overslept after a night shift. When the loco returned again four days later on Tuesday 9th August I made sure the alarm was set and with vast quantities of blue sky all looked well. Typically, however, 6E82 the 12.16 Rectory Junction to Lindsey tanks managed to time it's passage such that it found the only serious cloud in the sky. If you look to the rear of the unusually short 12 wagon consist you can see the sun and 15 seconds later the location was bathed in sunlight.
No. 60011, Radcliffe on Trent Station, 12.20, Tuesday 9th August, 6E82 12.16 Rectory Junction-Lindsey OR.
