On 27th July 2011, East Midlands Trains Class 158, No. 158847, on a Nottingham to Matlock service, pauses at Duffield where a large number of visitors from the Railway and Carriage Institute on a trip from London leave the train and make their way to the adjoining Ecclesbourne Valley Railway station for a trip to Wirksworth.
