Netherfield Junction on the Eastern outskirts of Nottingham sees what was thought to be the last “Boston Steel” as the contract is believed to have been terminated. It now transpires there'll be at least one more outing however as the train is now booked to run on Monday 14th June. On a dreary dull Tuesday 8th June 2010, No. 47749 and 47727 are photographed heading 6Z56 the 0602 Washwood Heath to Boston steel empties. Rumour has it that in the short term the traffic, believed to be German steel for Honda, will move to road and hopefully revert to rail in the not to distant future.
