Welbeck Colliery ceased coaling on 11th May 2010. A short term flow has started running in the last few weeks bringing coal into Welbeck Colliery from Daw Mill no doubt for blending with the Welbeck coal prior to despatch to the South Yorkshire power stations. Here No. 66119 is seen at Shirebrook Junction on the rarely used East to South side of the triangle with the delightful ex Midland signal box in the background. The train is 6M69 the 1306 Welbeck Colliery to Daw Mill Colliery and comprises some 40 empty MEA box wagons and is observed at 1305 on Friday 7th May just 4 days before the colliery's last shift.
