The East Lancs Railway hosted a Class 37 Theme Day on 30th May 2009 using their fleet of Tractors to work two of the three Saturday diagrams. The final out and back working of the day featured all three locos at the head of the train between Bury and Ramsbottom, making for a spectacular sight and sound which delighted those on board and at the lineside. Playing to the crowds, the driver of Class 37/4 No. 37418 winds the power handle open and accelerates past Burrs with the 16.50 Heywood to Ramsbottom service.
