On 31st January 2009, UK Railtours ran the 'Hills of the North Winter Wonderland' railtour from London King's Cross to Preston. The outward and return legs between Doncaster and Preston were worked by DB Schenker Class 60 No. 60026. Seen here at Farrington Curve, south of Preston, the former EWS machine heads towards Blackburn and the Copy Pit route with the return working across the Pennines. With operational numbers of the class dwindling, the loco also heads towards an uncertain future.
