The culprit! 47501 brings up the rear as 47712 “Pride of Carlisle” hauls Stobart Rail Tours’ 1Z47 “The Central Wales Winter Wonderland” 06.25 Paddington to Shrewsbury past Wistanstow. The tour didn’t live up to its name, by not traversing the Central Wales Line on its return, due to the poor state of health of 47501, running instead direct to Newport via Hereford. 28th February 2008.
