In the Museum of Liverpool, by the Pier Head, Liverpool Overhead Railway motor car No. 3 is displayed on a short section of the cast iron viaduct that carried the line for most of its length. The deteriorating condition of the viaduct led to the line's closure in 1956. In the foreground is the other major railway exhibit in the museum, the former Liverpool and Manchester Railway 0-4-2 'Lion', built by Todd Kitson and Laird in 1838 and photographed on 12th April 2023.
