Midland Mainline Class 43 No. 43159 leads a rake of de-branded ex Virgin stock through Clay Cross forming the 0847 Manchester Piccadilly to St Pancras service on 7th June 2003. During this period when the West Coast Main Line was undergoing engineering works, numerous services operated to St Pancras under the 'Operation Rio' banner.
