When Matisa tamping machine No. DR75404 failed between Moira West Junction signalbox and the former station on 23rd June 2015 while it was making the return journey of a Kettering to Trent Sidings working DRS locomotive No. 37601 "Class 37 -Fifty" was sent out from Derby RTC to assist and recover the Matisa machine. The pair are seen passing the former Drakelow East Curve Junction on the Leicester to Burton-on-Trent freight line en-route to Derby.
