A southbound timber train passes Alfarelos with a Siemens built EuroSprinter, No. 4721 in charge on 17th April 2015. Immediately behind 4721 is diesel electric locomotive No. 1943. The 1930 series locomotives have been reduced in number since the electrification of the line to Fao.
