Sunday 2nd April 1978 finds Class 101 DMBS No. 51447 burnt out in BREL Glasgow Works sidings. New to Dundee MPD in May 1959 No. 51447 would remain in Scotland all her working life, transferring to Hamilton MPD Glasgow by 1970. Judging by the colour scheme the vehicle had been refurbished fairly recently although withdrawl had taken place in September 1977 no doubt due to the fire damage. Scrapping took place at Glasgow Works during September 1979.
