WD Austerity Class J94 0-6-0ST No. 68012 leaves its one road shed at Middleton Top on the Cromford & High Peak Railway, a sub-shed of Rowsley, on 27th April 1966 and is prepared to take 6 loaded limestone wagons to Friden. Most of the buildings at Middleton Top still exsist in 2014 (not the shed) and in the background is seen the chimney of the winding house where the worlds oldest rotative beam engines (from 1829, for the C&HPR Middleton incline) are still in place, and are occasionally operated for visitors by compressed air.
