Despite the rarity of daylight Class 92 workings in the North West of England, the Fridays only Mossend - Hams Hall service still remains a Class 92 working. On 23rd August 92039 Johann Strauss headed south with Class 66 No. 66113 in the consist, thought to have been provided to work the service on a non-electrified route following the diversion of the service from its normal route via Bescot due to engineering work.
