Participants on Compass Tours' The Lakeland Moorlander could enjoy spectacular views of both the S&C and Cumbrian Coast Line on 25th May 2013, with excellent weather conditions on both legs. The train is pictured on Leven Viaduct, heading away from Ulverston towards Grange-over-Sands, crossing the Leven estuary where the River Leven drains water from Lake Windermere into the sea at Morecambe Bay. This return leg of the tour was headed by West Coast Class 47 No. 47760 with Class 47 No. 47580 County of Essex bringing up the rear.
