Cross Country Class 170 'Turbostar' two-car unit No's. 170522 and 170521 are seen heading past Elford, Staffordshire on Tuesday, 5th March 2013 with the 14:37 Nottingham to Birmingham New Street service. Most of the Cross Country services between Nottingham and Birmingham are diagrammed to be worked by either a two-car or 3-car Class 170 unit but in order to provide extra capacity some of the services on the route have two sets coupled together. Visible in the background, waiting in the loop at Elford, is Class 60 No. 60091 in charge of 6M00, 11:40 Humber Oil Refinery to Kingsbury Oil Sidings loaded fuel train.
