Freightliner PowerHaul Class 70 No. 70005 passes the soon to be closed Nantwich Signal Box with 6Y46, an engineers working from Landore Junction to Crewe Basford Hall on 23rd February 2013. Resignalling work is now complete between Shrewsbury and Crewe and commissioning is expected to take place over the Easter break. The home semaphore signal can be seen just above the rear cab of the locomotive and the new replacement colour light signal to the far left of the photo. On-crossing vehicle detection equipment can also be seen in the foreground of the picture.
