English Electric Class 40 No. 40126 is pictured passing the signal box and the spendid array of signals at Croes Newydd North Fork Junction, Wrexham on 7th June 1982 heading an empty oil train from Hereford to Ellesmere Port. This locomotive as D326 was the locomotive involved in the Great Train Robbery of 8 August 1963 when the Glasgow to London mail train was brought to a stand in Buckinghamshire. It was also involved in other incidents during its 24 years in service.
