A bit of a turn up. Rumour was that 56's are due to make an appearance on this working in the near future but that certainly isn't the case here. This is the loaded celebrity 'Boston Steel' working seen running as 6M57 13.14 Boston Docks - Washwood Heath. The train has been worked by a solo 47727 for a number of weeks now but for no immediately obvious reason it ran with a pair of Brush's finest on Wednesday 7th December 2011. On the outbound run 47727 lead with 739 dead in tow and, as seen here, on the return working the roles were reversed with 47739 doing the honours hauling 47727 DIT as part of the consist. The pair are captured crossing the River Trent at Rectory Junction on the outskirts of Nottingham. At 14.40 the train is on time and is just catching the last of the days sunlight before cloud envelops the scene.
