GBRf Class 69 'Eastleigh', along with Class 66/7 No. 66756 'Royal Corps of Signals' pass Copmanthorpe, on the approach to York on 16th October 2024 with a Civil Engineers' working from Doncaster Decoy to Tyne sorting sidings. The train was running 104 minutes late, having come to grief at Shaftholme Junction, north of Doncaster, blocking the down main East Coast line. As a result, this delayed several northbound services including to York, which was diverted to Leeds to Sunderland which set back to Doncaster, eventually going forward 108 mins late. Other delays were to to Edinburgh (84 mins) to Inverness (70 mins) and a Lumo service to Edinburgh (45 mins).
