125 Group Class 43 powercars Nos. 43159 and 43089 power a Retro Railtours charter, the 'Retro High Speed Scot', from Crewe to Edinburgh through Copmanthorpe on 24th August 2024. The special ran via Stockport, Stalybridge, Wakefield Kirkgate, Castleford and York. Interestingly, the train was booked to pick up passengers at Reddish South, which has only two passenger trains per week, making the short trip between Stockport and Stalybridge.
