On 15th October 2024 GBRf Class 66/7 No. 66764 'Major John Poyntz Engineer and Railwayman' heads the West Anglia RHTT through the construction site of Cambridge South station with Class 66/3 No. 66312 at the rear. This RHTT set is based at Broxbourne. In the background the new station building structure, platforms and overbridge can be seen to be progressing, although the opening date has recently been advised as December 2025.
