Manulla Junction allows pasengers to transfer between trains travelling between Ballina and Westport and Dublin. As in the case of Smallbrook Junction, on the Isle of Wight, it is not possible to enter or leave the station by road. On 16th September 2024, Class 22000 No. 22229 has just arrived with the 09:10 Athlone to Westport. In the bay platform is Class 2800 No. 2806 providing the connecting 10:39 to Ballina.
