The Branch Line Society's Drax 50 Years charter heads away from York past Copmanthorpe on 18th August 2024, triple-headed by DB Class 66s Nos. 66050 'Yorkshire Rose', 66190 'Martin House Childrens Hospice' and 66073. The special ran via Castleford, Pontefract Monkhill and Knottingley, then on to the Drax branch around the power station loop, before proceeding to Wakefield Kirkgate and Westgate. GBRf Class 69 No. 69011 was on the rear of the train.
