On the 25th July 2024, Freightliner Class 66/4, No. 66414, heads south from Darlington hauling the 09.31 Freightliner intermodal service from Tees Dock to Felixstowe North.
This service normally reverses in Darlington - in Darlington North Sidings. However, major works are taking place at Darlington Bank Top Station, including the formation of a new platform on the east side of the UML goods loop. Presumably these works are affecting access to the North Sidings as this service is currently directed north from Darlington to Ferryhill, where the service reverses. As a consequence is currently running in top and tail mode. Today, No. 66543 was at the rear at this point but would have led the service from Tees Dock to Ferryhill.
