On the 1st July 2024, recently painted GBRf Class 69, No. 69010, prepares to depart from the loop at Darlington Bank Top station hauling Class 807 No. 807002, back to the Hitachi factory at Merchant Park Sidings, Newton Aycliffe. Class 807 No. 807002, which is destined for use by Avanti West Coast, had been out on test today running as the 08.12 empty coaching stock working from Oxley Depot to Darlington, via the WCML, Edinburgh and Newcastle.
