On the 26th January 2024, LNER Class 801/2 No. 801205 curves away to the right heading north along the ECML as it departs Newcastle Central forming the 10:30 London King's Cross to Edinburgh Waverley service. To the left an LNER Class 800/2, No. 800209, departs working the 13.44 LNER route learner from Newcastle to Doncaster Carr IEP Depot, which will travel south via the Durham Coast.
