Trains carrying low level radioactive waste from the former Winfrith Atomic Energy Establishment commenced in March 2022. With decommissioning of the site well advanced, the last train operated on 23rd January 2024. Class 68 No. 68016 Fearless departs Winfrith Sidings 23 minutes late with the 15:51 to Crewe Coal Sidings. No. 68002 Intrepid is out of sight at the rear.
