On 14th January 2024, the Network Rail Measurement Train passes Firthmoor, Darlington, after a reversal in Darlington Bank Top Station, with Class 43 No. 43013 'Mark Carne CBE' now leading and with classmate 43357 in de-branded Cross Country livery at the rear, forming: the 10.08 Network Rail Measurement Train from Derby RTC to Darlington Up S.S., via lines in the north east.
