NBR Holmes Class J36 0-6-0 No. 65243 was sent to France for service with the Railway Operating Division in WW1 and on repatriation was given the name 'Maude' after General Maude. The painted name 65243's splasher is seen in the Museum of Scottish Railways Bo'ness on 14th October 2023. The Neilson maker's plate shows the works number 4392, built in 1891.
