Freightliner Class 66/5 No. 66594, working top-and-tail with No. 66561 (out of sight), passes Danescourt station on the City Line in Cardiff on 8th September 2023 with a Westbury to Pontypridd ballast train. It is heading for the currently closed Treherbert line. Developments at Danescourt, related to the forthcoming South Wales Metro, include electrification and platform extensions.
