In the evening on 27th May 2023, WCRC Class 57, No. 57313 'Scarborough Castle', heads south past Darlington hauling the Northern Belle rail charter stock forming: the 20.16 'Northern Belle' ecs from Newcastle to York, Holgate Siding, which passed Darlington in fading light at 21.22: 30 minutes late.
Class 40, No. 40145 / D345, is at the rear of this train.
