NSW Class C30T No. 3001 4-6-0 was rebuilt in 1928 from a Class S 4-6-4T (built at Beyer Peacock) at Eveleigh Workshops for mixed traffic duties on country branch lines. No. 3001 was used for heritage trains at Thirlmere from around 1980 to 1997. It has now had a further refurbishment and returned to traffic in March 2023, and is seen here on a special working from Thirlmere to Buxton on 18th April 2023.
