The East Somerset Railway commenced their 2023 running season over the weekend of the 18th and 19th March 2023 by holding a Spring Steam Gala. on 18th March 2023, the first day of the Gala, GWR 5101 Class 2-6-2T No. 4110 returns to Cranmore from Mendip Vale with the 10:30 service. This service is the locomotive's first passenger run in 58 years.
