Colas Rail Class 70/8 No. 70814 passing Appleby during a break in the rain on 14th January 2023 working the 1114 Carlisle NY to Doncaster Robert Road Shed wagon movement. These wagons have come of the Carlisle/Hellifield to Chirk log service and are heading to Doncaster for maintenance. This is the closest we've got to seeing a log train through Appleby so far in 2023.
