On the 2nd October 2022, the Belmond Royal Scotsman rail charter arrived in Darlington Bank Top station as with GBRf Class 66/7 No. 66743, leading the train into platform 1, having travelled from York, via the Durham Coast and Newcastle. Classmate No. 66746, is at the rear of the train at this point.
