With the train in shadow, a fortunate patch of sunlight highlights Deltic Class 55 No. D9000 (55022) 'Royal Scots Grey', as it passes Copmanthorpe, south of York on 24th September 2022, with 'The Deltic Delight' charter operated by LSL Inter City.
The special was returning from Newcastle to Wolverhampton, the outward route being via the West Coast Main Line to Carlisle and the Tyne Valley route via Hexham.
