On the 21st September 2022, pair of locomotive services Limited Class 20s, with No. 20107 / D8107 'Jocelyn Feilding 1940 - 2020' leading classmate No. 20096 / D8096, pass through Dumfries station working; The Ayr Liner rail charter from Crewe to Stranraer, promoted by Intercity. The Class 20s had taken over the rail charter from Class 86 No. 86101 'Sir William Stanier F.R.S.' at Carlisle.
Class 47 No. 47828, is out of sight at the rear of this train.
