A unit shortage in South Wales has resulted in a temporary transfer in of a couple of Class 150 units from Northern. on 7th September 2022, Northern Class 150 No. 150270 stands at Cardiff Central with the 18.41 Barry island - Aberdare service. Unlike Transport for Wales Class 150 units the Northern units have high density seating.
