Gresley A4 Class Pacific 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley climbs through Euxton on 21st May 2022, while working a members-only special returning from Carlisle - Crewe to celebrate the return of the locomotive after a lengthy major overhaul. Of interest is that the locomotive bears wartime black livery which had been applied as protection when the overhaul was transferred from York to Crewe and had been retained for this railtour after which it will be repainted into BR Express Passenger Blue livery.
