The Easter weekend saw the installation of new trackwork at Taffs Well in connection with the development of the South Wales Metro. This is the view looking south from the station on 16th April 2022: the scissor crossing is new, as is a double-junction beyond the tampers, which will eventually give access to the new depot, under construction nearby to the left.
