On the 4th April 2022, a quartet of Transnet Class 36 locomotives, with No. 36.023 leading 36.007, 36.017 and 36.025, pass Milnerton, Cape Town, hauling an intermodal train to the Depot at Bellville, Cape Town. The Class 36 locomotives are employed in the docks at Cape Town and at the end of their shift are used to haul and intermodal train to Bellville, prior to the train being hauled by an electric locomotive elsewhere in South Africa.
