The 50th Anniversary of the closure of the branch by BR in 1972 was commemorated by the Swanage Railway with a special three day New Year timetable, operated by the Class 117 DMU. On 2nd January 2022, the 10:30 service from Norden to Swanage arrives at Corfe Castle.
