With DRS and other freight operators looking to save costs by reducing the use of electric traction it was somewhat surprising to see a pair of class 88s, both pan up heading north through Docker on 25 October 2021. DRS class 88 no. 88002 Prometheus and 88008 Ariadne are in charge of the 06.23 Daventry - Mossend Tesco Express container service.
