The installation of Marholm Junction nears completion on 17th July 2021, with a weekend possession of the Stamford lines. Class 66/7 No. 66706 'Nene Valley' just has the leading wagon to unload but must wait until the following day to depart to Whitemoor Yard, once gauging through the junction is complete. Classmate No. 66715 'Valour' is in the process of unloading ballast onto the new pointwork with very little room to pull forward.
