The Tarka Line in rural Devon runs through the picturesque valleys of the Rivers Yeo and Taw as it makes its way from Exeter to Barnstaple. This line has connected North and South Devon since 1854. In modern times the services between the City of Exeter and the town of Barnstaple in the North of the county are worked by GWR DMUs with an hourly service in each direction. On the 12th June 2021, GWR Class 158/0 DMU No. 158958 is seen in the rural countryside of Devon at Umberleigh Crossing heading to Barnstaple with the 11:14 departure from Exeter Central.
