A view from the A31 road at Ropley Soke shows the gradient of the railway line on the climb up from Ropley to Medstead and Four Marks on the Mid Hants Railway. This sees LMS Ivatt Class 2 2-6-2T No. 41312 trundling up the gradient on the approach to Wanders Curve under a brooding sky at the business end of the 15:00 departure from Alresford to Alton on 1st May 2021. This day was the second of the railways 2021 Spring Gala.
