On 7th April 2021, DC Rail Class 60 No. 60064 passes South Wingfield on a light engine move from Derby to Holgate Sidings York. Recent tree clearance work by Network Rail has opened up views of the railway and of Wingfield station which is about to undergo a significant restoration project.
